Profile of the Xiamen Leading Group for the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center

The Xiamen Leading Group for the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center coordinates the building of the BRICS innovation center. It is responsible for the review of development strategies and plans, the implementation of policies and tasks and the arrangement of key projects.

The leading group has set up an office, the director of which is in charge of:

· Assuming the routine work of the leading group and formulating the overall development plans, annual work plans, and policies and measures;

· Establishing a BRICS reserve of key projects and coordinating the implementation of the projects;

· Matchmaking the existing cooperation mechanism for BRICS countries, tracking and studying the dynamics and policy direction of BRICS cooperation and summarizing major events to deepen BRICS cooperation at the national, provincial and municipal levels;

· Supervising the implementation of agenda items decided by the Xiamen Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Xiamen Municipal People's Government and the leading group;

· Preparing regular briefings for the leading group on construction progress for the BRICS innovation center.

The Leading Group Office consists of five divisions: the General Affairs Division, the Policy Coordination Division, the Personnel Training Division, the Project Development Division and the International Cooperation Division.

The General Affairs Division assumes the routine work of the Leading Group Office, organizes important research and meetings and coordinates general support for all divisions.
