Xiamen launches innovation and entrepreneurship competition for overseas talents

The Xiamen BRICS Innovation Center Talent Track and Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Overseas Talents officially launched on June 2 in Xiamen, Fujian. 

The official theme of the event was “Facilitating the Launch of the BRICS Innovation Center and Empowering Innovation Development.” The competition focuses on the building of the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center (PartNIRIC) and includes a dedicated category for BRICS participants.

Competition organizers said that the event has attracting numerous high-tech entrepreneurship projects submitted by foreign experts, organizations and overseas individuals and entities from BRICS Plus countries.

The competition encompasses multiple stages, including project registration, an initial qualification check, a primary selection round (online evaluation) and a final road show. The review committee will evaluate participating projects in terms of teamwork, innovative technology, product quality, market viability, available funding and other indexes.

A BRICS Talent Entrepreneurship Base officially debuted on the same day in Xiamen. The base is designed to serve overseas individuals from BRICS countries and other non-Chinese nationals who have a BRICS background.
