Xiamen hosts Huawei talent symposium on digital transformation

The city of Xiamen, East China’s Fujian province, hosted on May 7 a symposium on digital transformation that carried the title “Talents Gather in Xiamen for its Digital Future.”

Representatives of the symposium said that the goal of the event was to provide an exchange platform focused on digital transformation.

During the symposium, key Huawei management experts shared their practical experience in corporate digital transformation. Covered topics included digital thinking and technology applications, corporate culture and corporate talent management systems.

Participants included Qu Wenzhou, professor and director of the MBA Center of the School of Management of Xiamen University. “The event provided timely help for local enterprises undergoing digital transformation,” said Mr. Qu. “It not only communicates innovative thinking and methodology in corporate culture and talent management to the participants but also helps broaden their horizons, giving both direction and momentum to their digital transformation,” he added.

Xiamen’s municipal government and Huawei signed a strategic cooperation agreement in 2019. The stated aim of the agreement is to accelerate the city’s digital economy using Huawei’s strength in areas such as 5G, cloud computing, big data, IoT and artificial intelligence.

The Xiamen event is one stop in Huawei’s traveling digital talent salon. Event sponsors included the management committee of the Xiamen Torch Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone and Huawei Technologies under the guidance of the Xiamen Leading Group Office for the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center.
