2016 CIFIT to hit new records

The total exhibition area of this year’s CIFIT, which opens tomorrow, stands at a record-high 138,000 square meters and 6,000 booths. Three exhibition areas include sections devoted to investment, business promotion and commodity trade.

Business organizations and trade promotion agencies from nearly 60 countries and regions are expected to attend the fair, joined by a number of influential international organizations including the World Trade Organization, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the International Finance Corporation and the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies.

As in previous years, Chinese officials are expected to promote China’s Belt and Road campaign to tighten integration between the economies of China and its Asian and European counterparts.
