Enjoying Readers' Day

Limei: Adam, I just read today's Xiamen Daily and they announced a really cool gift for lucky participants of the Readers' Day event on October 28 in Bailuzhou Park.

亚当，来看今天厦门日报上刊登的一个消息。10月28号在白鹭洲公园举办读者节，奖品超级酷。

Adam: Sounds good but what's the award?

不错，到底是什么呢？

Limei: Select participants will receive a commemorative edition of Xiamen Daily that covers the recent BRICS Summit. The report is printed on a single sheet that is 1.6 meters long.

幸运读者将获得日报厦门会晤珍藏版！那报纸有1.6米长，上面是有关厦门会晤的报道。

Adam: Pretty cool. I like how the paper has printed a bunch of aerial photos of the city recently. It's a neat way to get a new perspective on the city.

太棒了！我喜欢日报近期刊登的厦门航拍照片，从全新的精彩视角看这座城市。

Limei: The pictures do look neat but I want to get a copy of the commemorative paper because the BRICS Summit really was a big Xiamen milestone.

Adam: I couldn't agree more. So how can I win a commemorative edition newspaper?

太对了。那怎样才能得到这份珍藏版报纸呢？

Limei: You have to know the answer to a series of questions published in recent Xiamen Daily newspapers. The questions cover topical events and the history of Xiamen Daily.

厦门日报近期会刊载有关报纸历史或者新闻热点的问题，读者全部回答正确就有机会获奖。

Adam: I like to read the newspaper to keep up with events and I know a bit about the paper's history but how can I let organizers know I have all the right answers?

我很热衷时事，也知道一些厦门日报的历史，但是怎么把答案告诉他们呢？

Limei: Three ways, actually. You can email your answers to rbzbb@xmrb.com or send them by mail to the office of the chief editor before October 25. You can also bring your answers to the event in Bailuzhou Park on October 28.

有三种方式:读者可以把答案发到rbzbb@xmrb.com这个邮箱，或者在10月25日之前寄到总编办公室，也可以在10月28日把答案带到白鹭洲公园读者节现场去。

Adam: They certainly make it easy to participate, that's good.

有这三个方法那可方便了。

Limei: True. They've been doing this for 16 years so they're pretty organized. My favorite events are the Top Ten Reader's Choices and the meet-and-greet with young journalists.

是啊。读者节已经连续办了16年，组织井然有序。我最喜欢的是“十佳读者”征集，还有“年轻记者编辑与读者见面会”等活动。

Adam: Anything new this year?

今年有什么新活动吗？

Limei: Actually, yes. They will produce a micro-film on the development of Readers' Day.

有的，会拍摄一部以读者节为主题的微电影。

Adam: I'd love to join in the film.

我想去参加拍摄。

Limei: Me too. After all, I'm a professional dancer.

我也是，我可是专业的舞者！

Adam: Then we make a good team. You can dance and I can sing. I may not be professional but it will be fun to give it a go.

那我们就凑成一对组合，你跳舞我唱歌。也许我唱得不够专业，但去试试也蛮有意思的！
