Paintings from cross-Straits children go on the road

The 9th Cross-Straits Children's Painting Show recently got underway in Haicang district, Xiamen, Fujian province.
Themed on "free and unrestrained", the show displayed nearly 200 paintings selected from 30,000 entry works by little painters in more than 20 cities of the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
Sponsored by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, the China Culture Innovation and Development Association along with other three institutions, the show is one of the major activities for the Taiwan Affairs Office of China's State Council in conducting exchanges with Taiwan people and will run until Sept 24.
After its presentation in Xiamen, the show will stop at Beijing, Hong Kong, Chengdu, Taipei, and other cities in China.
