Haicang conducts test run of geofenced shared bikes

The district of Haicang is currently testing a new public shared bike system that uses geofencing to restrict shared bikes to designated areas.
The test program includes 100 bicycles overseen by GPS data that creates ten separate virtual geographic boundaries in which the bikes can be used.
Electronic locks permit the bikes to be parked in public spaces without the need for a parking station.
