2018-03-22

The city's Environment and Sanitation Management Office recently published the results of its first public survey of city cleanliness.

Nearly 80 percent of respondents stated that they were either satisfied or very satisfied with the city's cleanliness. Nearly 90 percent of respondents thought that the environmental state of Xiamen had improved over the past two years.

Top interviewee concerns included illegal street stalls, illegal advertising and unclean minor roads. The survey encompassed more than 1,000 completed questionnaires from residents in all six districts of Xiamen.
