Xiamen Airport accepts mobile phone QR codes as boarding passes

Airport officials recently announced that passengers can now transit security screening and board airplanes by presenting their identification and a QR code electronic boarding pass.
Officials also announced future plans to integrate facial recognition technology into the airport's security screening process. Officials described the new security feature as an effort to improve efficiency and accuracy.
