2017 Xiamen youth league for three big-ball games opens

The 2017 Xiamen youth league for the three  big-ball games was launched at the Xiamen Yunding School on November 10th.

A total of 1,546 players from 99 football, basketball, and volleyball teams from six districts of Xiamen,will play more than 300 games during the month-long event.

This year’s event is larger and more high-profile than any of the previous editions. It aims to improve the competitive performance of the city’s young football, basketball and volleyball players and contribute to the development of Xiamen’s three  big-ball sports by developing an effective youth system to spot and cultivate talent.　

Li Lina, deputy director general of Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Sports, expressed her expectations at the launch ceremony. She hoped that the league could attract more students’ interest in the three  big-ball sports and encourage their participation.
