Trial run set for subway in 2017

Work on the overhead electric system for the train line atop the Jimei-Xinlin seawall between the Jimei and Yuanboyuan station of the subway system’s Line One wrapped up last month.
Groundwork is scheduled to finish next May, followed by trial operations and a go-live date in 2018. Trial operations will include running each train for at least 2,000 kilometers.
Tunneling, excavation and station shells are now complete for 18 of 24 Line One subway stops. Line Two will have an additional 32 stations. Two more lines will follow by 2020.
