According to data from Ctrip, Xiamen ranks first nationwide for popular warm winter travel destinations. Xiamen leads the province in terms of per capita order volume.

 

Xiamen's tourism popularity and revenue both top the province, while its inbound tourist numbers rank seventh nationwide and first in the province during this 8-day Spring Festival holiday. 

 

Xiamen has also been recommended by the China Meteorological Administration as one of the 26 best places to escape the cold weather and enjoy health from January to February.

 

Not only has Xiamen attracted a large number of domestic tourists, but it has also become the top choice for international tourists to experience the Chinese New Year. Foreign tourists can be seen everywhere in Xiamen’s scenic spots and streets. 

 

The number of inbound and outbound travelers at Xiamen port during the Spring Festival is expected to reach 140,000, an increase of over 15% when compared to the Spring Festival holiday in 2024.

 

A previous Ctrip report titled “2025 Spring Festival Travel Market Forecast” showed that Xiamen made it to the list of the top ten cities preferred by foreign inbound tourists, becoming a popular spot for international tourists to visit during the Spring Festival.

 

Xiamen will also host the "2025 Xiamen Lantern Festival Tourism Carnival", with over 600 cultural and tourism activities to celebrate the Lantern Festival with joy.
