The PEMSEA Network of Local Governments for Sustainable Coastal Development (PNLG) Annual Forum 2024 was held in Xiamen, East China's Fujian Province from November 6 to 8, 2024.   

The Annual Forum was attended by approximately 100 participants, including delegates from PNLG’s 21 regular members and five associate members, and some PNLC members across eight countries, namely Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, RO Korea, Timor-Leste, and Viet Nam as well as eminent experts and scholars in the marine field. 

As part of the 2024 East Asian Seas (EAS) Congress and World Ocean Week in Xiamen, this year’s forum has the theme of “Blue Synergy for a Shared Future: One Sustainable and Resilient Ocean”.  

The three-day event consisted of the General Assembly, PNLG-PNLC Joint Leaning Forum, and the Field Trips, providing a platform for facilitating experience exchange among PNLG members, promoting sustainable coastal development in the East Asian Seas region, developing marine ecological civilization, and boosting high quality development of marine economy.  

Organized by the PNLG Secretariat, PNLG Annual Forum has been held for 19 times.
