The event, co-hosted by the China Association for International Economic Cooperation and the Xiamen National Accounting Institute, focused on the theme of "Improving the Mechanisms for High-Quality Development of the Belt and Road Initiative".

It attracted over 100 government officials, representatives from international organizations, experts, scholars, business executives, and professionals in the financial and economic sectors from both home and abroad. Among the participants were over 30 government officials from BRI partner countries such as Bahrain, Egypt, Laos, Myanmar, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, and Uganda.

During the event, Chen Lifen, an associate professor from the Xiamen National Accounting Institute's Belt and Road Financial and Economic Development Research Center, released the White Paper on Belt and Road Equity Investment and Financing.

The event sought to enhance dialogue and promote practical cooperation, focusing on topics related to financial integration while also providing suggestions for strengthening high-quality cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road initiative.

The meeting’s participants said that since the inception of the BRI, which has connectivity as its main theme and financial integration as its backbone, international cooperation has continuously expanded into new areas such as green and digital development and innovation, injecting strong impetus into global economic recovery and sustainable development.

They called for strengthening cooperation and jointly tackling risks and challenges.
