Xiamen Port officials recently announced a new shipping route to Japan under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). Terminals owned by Xiamen Port now operate 12 shipping routes to Japan.

The Orient Overseas Container Line exclusively operates the new route, which berths weekly at the Haitian terminal.

The route connects to Osaka, Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya and Kobe. It is focused on the transport of consumer goods. The route includes a direct three-day connection to Osaka.
