ABB promotes low-carbon production in Xiamen
ABB China president Zhao Yongzhan announced recently plans for the company to intensify investments in smart manufacturing. The company also plans promote the low-carbon transformation model of ABB's Xiamen Industrial Center, to build a greener supply chain and to contribute to China’s green and low-carbon development.
Switzerland-based ABB, a century-old electrical and automation technology firm, has been expanding in China since its establishment in the Xiamen Torch High-tech Zone in 1992.
The ABB Xiamen Industrial Center, located in the Xiamen Torch (Xiangan) Industrial Zone, is a major global production base and strategic industrial hub for the company.
The center exports products to over 60 countries. The company added that the center is designed to serve as a demonstration of ABB's commitment to low-carbon transformation, with clean energy utilization reaching 50 percent.
