Maluan Bay Shuangxi Wetland Park, the largest freshwater wetland park outside the island of Xiamen, recently began trial operations.

The park is located in the northern Jimei section of Maluan Bay New Town.

Groundwork for the new park began in 2021. Covering 770,000 square meters, the park is home to a hundred acres of lotus pond and seven small islands that are home to flora such as mangoes, wax apples and yangmei plants.
