China's biggest online travel agency Ctrip recently released a Spring Festival travel market forecast report indicating that reservations for domestic travel, outbound travel and inbound travel all jumped during the holiday period.

Inbound reservations for the Spring Festival travel season surged more than tenfold compared with last year, with Xiamen making a list of top ten destinations favored by foreign tourists.

Xiamen benefits from a transit policy that allows for 24-hour direct transits without border inspection for travelers as well as a 144-hour visa-free transit program.

The policies make Xiamen a desirably transit city for international travelers.

With Spring Festival holiday approaching, Xiamen launched a Transit Plus City Tour travel service program targeting travelers with stopover of six hours or more in Xiamen.

The city recently welcomed the first group of passengers to experience its Airline Transit Sightseeing Tour.
