Georgia unveils a cultural promotion center in Xiamen
Georgia's embassy in China recently inaugurated the Georgia Cultural Promotion Center in Xiamen. The new center is Georgia's first cultural promotion institution in China.
Salome Mdinaradze, the counselor and consul of the Georgian embassy in China, said at the opening ceremony that the center is intended to leverage the city's strategic role as a key hub along the modern iteration of the Maritime Silk Road.
Ms. Mdinaradze added that the initiative aims to foster enhanced communication and collaboration with Fujian and especially the city of Xiamen.
She noted that the center will facilitate cooperation between the two nations in culture, science and technology, economy and trade, tourism, agriculture, new energy, digital technology and other fields.
