The Xiamen Federation of Trade Unions announced last week that its All-China parent organization recently announced its inaugural set of national standardized Workers' Cultural Palaces.

The list of 48 entities includes the cultural palaces of Fuzhou and Xiamen.

The Xiamen Workers' Cultural Palace was established in 1958 and is adjacent to the Cultural and Art Center and the Sports Center.

It consists of three main sections -- the comprehensive activity building, the Workers' Sports Arena and Wuyi Square. The facility covers an area of approximately 76,000 square meters.

The Xiamen Workers' Sports Arena is currently the largest comprehensive sports venue in the city.
