The National Bureau of Statistics earlier this year officially certified a survey on the health of the trading industry by China's Customs office.

The General Administration of Customs recently announced that a total of 134 Xiamen-based companies earned official designation as model companies based on their performance in the survey.

Xiamen's selected firms included 75 export companies, 57 import companies and two import-export companies.
