A six-member economic and trade delegation from Xiamen's sister city Wellington, led by the New Zealand Parliament member Paul Eagle, attended the 23rd China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) from Sept 6 to 10.

The delegation set up two standard booths at the overseas pavilion to display the dividends of the friendly exchanges between the two cities, as well as the education and tourism resources of Wellington.

During their visit to Xiamen, the delegation discussed expanding cooperation between Xiamen and New Zealand in areas such as hosting film festivals and exhibitions, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and high-quality seafood trade.

 
The delegation described Xiamen as a modern city where Chinese and Western cultures blend, a vibrant city of high technology, and a city of high-quality innovation and entrepreneurship.
