A total of 11 insurance companies and 34 freight enterprises announced progress last week on a joint program to install blind zone warning systems on trucks that service the Xiamen area.

The program began in Xiamen last October.

More than 6,200 local trucks now include blind zone warning systems. The death toll of traffic accidents caused by large trucks decreased by 88 percent year-on-year in the first two months of 2023.
