City representatives announced last week that construction on the Eastern Binhai avenue renovation project is now more than 40 complete.

Renovations are slated to wrap up next year in June. Located in Xiangan, the Coastal East Avenue will connect Xiangan bridge with the Xiangan tunnel.

A number of surrounding projects are also under construction, including the area's upcoming convention and exhibition center as well as a new sports complex.

The Coastal East Avenue renovation project is slated to run for 22 months and cost an estimated 1.1 billion yuan.
