The Little Egret Art Center recently hosted the annual Egret Cup Youth Dance Festival at the center's Jinrong Theater.

The festivities included 25 youth dance programs from across Fujian. Performances included highlights from traditional dances from varying ethnic groups, including representations of Dai, Han, Miao, Tibetan and Zhuang cultural traditions.

Representatives of the Xiamen Dancers Association, which sponsored the event, said that the festival is designed to showcase China's cultural traditions and to promote exchanges between participating members.
