Xiamen electronics manufacturer starts operations in Hungary

Xiamen-based electronics manufacturer Intretech Inc opened its new European manufacturing plant in Kapuvar in Hungary, on Sept 13.

 

Production has now started at the company's first Hungarian plant, which cost 28.75 million euros ($31.74 million).

 

Installation of smart and highly automated technologies is complete in the plant, which occupies  7,500 square meters.

 

The facility has created some 200 new jobs for local residents, according to a report released by the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency.

 

The first phase of the plant is producing manufacturing subassemblies and final assembly components for the automotive and electronics industries in China and Europe.

 

The company also announced that construction of a second production plant will start in 2020.

 

Peter Szijjarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Hungary, and Duan Jielong, the Chinese Ambassador to Hungary, attended the opening ceremony.
