The Software Park broke ground on September 6, 2005. It offers world-class business environment by applying innovation in institutional mechanism, management and supporting services. The park with business-friendly environment, high-standard service and industry-leading companies, is expected to play a key role in Xiamen’s development.

Located at the eastern corner of Xiamen Island, Software Park Phase II is known as Xiamen's "Silicon Valley". Occupying the land area of only one square kilometer, the park brings together more than 570 enterprises and around 54,000 employees, with annual output exceeding 50 billion yuan. Taking a stroll along the park's Guanri (Sunset) Road or Wanghai (Seaview) Road, you can spot a number of listed companies and famous internet enterprises, including Meitu, Meiya Pico, Migu, 4399, 35 HULIAN, and YLZ Information Technology, which have grouped together to form competitive clusters.

Today, Phase I, II and III of Xiamen Software Park complement each other in contributing to the balanced development on and off Xiamen Island.
