2024 PNLG Annual Forum conducts field trips in Xiamen
The 2024 PNLG Annual Forum organized field trips for participants to feel Xiamen’s achievements in integrated coastal management on the afternoon of November 8.
About 70 attendees, including marine experts, scholars, and representatives from PNLG's 21 regular members and five associate members in Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Philippines, RO Korea, Timor-Leste, and Viet Nam, participated in the event.
At the Hairun Container Terminal, China’s first traditional container terminal to undergo a comprehensive intelligent transformation, the participants were first briefed the development of the Xiamen Port, the building of the Smart Port and Green Port, and the trends of future ports. Then they observed automated container terminal operations.
At Yundang Lake, the participants were introduced the practical experience of Xiamen in the comprehensive restoration of the lake. While experiencing the city’s ecological beauty, they understood how Yundang Lake was transformed from the once “stinky lake” into “the city’s reception hall”.
