On the morning of August 23rd, 2019, the work meeting of 2019 World Ocean Week (WOW) in Xiamen Organizing Committee was held in Beijing.

The overall plan of 2019 World Ocean Week, the framework of Xiamen International Ocean Forum and the specific work distribution of each committee member were discussed and determined during the meeting.

Zhan Yanqing, Deputy Secretary-General of Xiamen Municipal Government, emphasized that the organizing committee should strengthen cooperation with ASEAN, APEC, PENSEA and other international organizations to promote greater global participation.
