Xiamen Metro has expanded to 26 the number of designated passenger rest areas across its network. The total includes four care lounges and 22 temporary rest areas. The system includes a dedicated rest area at Lucuo Station of approximately 90 square meters between the passageways leading to exits one and eight. Separated from pedestrian traffic by safety barriers, the area features seating for families and other passengers.

The care lounge at Zhongshan Park Station features tables, chairs, charging outlets and fresh water. The 22 temporary rest areas are located at major transfer stations, high-traffic stations and stations serving residential communities and tourist attractions.
