The BRICS Industrial Cooperation and Going Global Comprehensive Service Hub in Xiamen recently hosted an inaugural event for the BRICS Express, a one-stop service designed to support Chinese enterprises as they expand internationally. The first matchmaking session focused on Nigeria and attracted nearly 200 participants, including representatives of Nigerian institutions in China and the Lekki Free Zone in Nigeria as well as Chinese firms contemplating international expansion.

The BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution Innovation Center (BPNIC) hosted the event. Organizers included China-Africa Lekki Investment and the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation and the Xiamen Economic Information Exchange Association. Nigeria became a BRICS partner country in 2025. It is located on the Gulf of Guinea along Africa’s Atlantic coast of Africa, more than 12,000 kilometers from Xiamen.
