Shandong Airlines launches XM-Bangkok cargo flight

Shandong Airlines recently launched Fujian’s first regular all-cargo flight route to Thailand. The Xiamen-Bangkok route launched in July with an all-cargo flight containing 18 tons of electronic products, mechanical equipment and other goods.

 

Common imported goods from Thailand include fresh southeast Asian fruits such as durian. The average import and export cargo volume per flight is about 30 tons. Airlines currently operate 17 regular cargo routes from Xiamen. Six routes serve southeast Asia, accounting for 35.3 percent of total volume, while eight are cargo routes to countries affiliated with the Belt and Road Initiative such as Luxembourg, Thailand and Vietnam, accounting for 47.1 percent of total volume.
