Local Customs officials last week announced that Fujian's total import and export volume with the European Union hit a record-high 109.1 billion yuan from January through May this year, up year-on-year by 3.8 percent.

Exports stood at 92.4 billion yuan (up 3.1 percent), while imports reached 16.7 billion yuan (up 8.2 percent). Germany, the Netherlands and France rank as Fujian's top three EU trading partners.
