The city of Xiamen and CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology) announced last week plans to develop a zero-carbon technology hub. Officials said that the project aims to provide support for the city's urban transformation during the current Five-Year Plan period. They added that the hub will be serving as part of the expansion strategy for CATL's next phase of growth.

CATL officials said the company will establish a global R&D center and expand its zero-carbon tech services in Xiamen, reinforcing its commitment to zero-carbon eco-friendly businesses.
