The 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade kicked off Today in Xiamen. The fair featured three core sections: investment in China, Chinese investment internationally and overall global investment.  Event organizers said that CIFIT's goals are to deepen multilateral economic and trade cooperation, enhance international industrial and supply chain collaboration and advance high-level opening-up and high-quality Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) development.

This year's CIFIT features significant international engagement. The United Kingdom is serving as the guest country of honor and is hosting a 400-square-meter national pavilion showcasing fields such as medical innovation and life sciences, financial service ecosystems, advanced manufacturing frontiers, digital technology, consumer electronics, gaming technology and clean energy infrastructure.

The U.N. Trade and Development and the city of Xiamen co-hosted the Future Investment Conference while the New Development Bank held its first BRICS Investment Cooperation Matchmaking event at an international forum. A total of 77 BRI partner countries as well as 90 Fortune Global 500 multinationals and investment institutions participated in the event.
