The 23rd Annual Event of Federation of Investment Promotion Agencies of China, jointly sponsored by China Council for International Investment Promotion (CCIIP), United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), kicked off on Sept 7 at Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center under the theme of "opening-up cooperation and win-win investment".

The event provides in-depth analysis of new trends, opportunities and challenges facing the world economy and international investment, while exploring ways to promote cross-border investment flows and foster emerging industrial clusters.

Fang Aiqing, president of China Council for International Investment Promotion (CCIIP), stated in his address that the CIFIT serves as a platform for investment institutions across regions to share ideas and, through policy advantages, deliver development opportunities to the world. The digital economy and green economy are currently thriving, while emerging markets and future industries are injecting fresh momentum into global growth.

Samir Abdelhafidh, minister of Economy and Planning of the Republic of Tunisia, highlighted the country's unique geographical advantages and abundant human resources, noting that Tunisia offers investors a direct gateway to the EU market, while also connecting them with Eastern Europe and Southern Africa. He emphasized that Tunisia’s stable policy and social environment is highly conducive to shared prosperity.

The event has been held every year for the past 23 years. As a flagship event of CIFIT, it serves as a valuable platform for sharing innovative practices and facilitating project matchmaking in the field of investment, helping promote international investment exchanges.
