City officials last week provided an updated on the pavement repair and maintenance project for Binhai East Avenue. The work includes milling the old pavement, repaving the asphalt and reapplying traffic markings. The project is slated to wrap up in mid-June.

 

Work on a test section between the Second East Passage and Anshan Village included the paving of 7,000 square meters of upper asphalt and 4,500 square meters of middle asphalt. Completed work included laying 275 square meters of pavement, sealing 400 meters of cracks, applying 400 meters of anti-crack tape and installing four sets of rainwater grates.
