The Jimei District Dragon Boat Association recently launched this year's Jimei Dragon Boat Cultural Season. Through December, citizens and tourists can participate in the association's Dragon Boat Rowing on the Dragon Boat Pond project.

 

Participants must be between seven and 48 years old. The experience covers a series of events that last about 90 minutes in total.

 

The Jimei Dragon Boat Race is an official Fujian intangible cultural heritage project. Tan Kah Kee organized local dragon boat competitions in the early 1950s. The Tan Kah Kee Cup cross-Strait dragon boat races are held annually in Jimei.
