The China Society of Economic Reform, which is supervised by the National Development and Reform Commission, recently released a national reform heat assessment for the fourth quarter of 2024. Xiamen ranked first in reform popularity among 19 sub-provincial and higher cities. The reform heat index is designed to reflect innovation in reforms across various cities. 

Xiamen has pioneered 62 nationwide reform initiatives, with 29 of these being promoted nationally by China's Development and Reform Commission, a historical high. Communities in Xiamen were home to 236 reform and innovation cases throughout the year.
