Local tourism authorities are promoting a series of cultural activities and events that unfold outside the island of Xiamen. Featured destinations include Jimei district's Dragon Boat Pool and the artistic and cultural attractions of Jimei's Xuecun area. 

Other locales include Jimei district's Dasha area, Tongan's bell tower and Confucian temple and the historic city walls in Tongan.
