Xiamen unveils plan for enterprises going global
Xiamen in East China's Fujian province, recently released a three-year action plan (2024-2026) aimed at further supporting local enterprises in expanding into international markets, enhancing their ability to do business globally and contributing to the city's goal of becoming a pivotal city in the new development paradigm.
The action plan aims to support 1,000 enterprises in participating in no fewer than 100 overseas exhibitions and to establish two to three overseas economic and trade cooperation zones. Additionally, it will set up no fewer than 10 investment and trade service points.
The plan will support Xiamen enterprises in expanding international markets from seven aspects, including providing subsidies for exhibition expenses for enterprises participating in overseas exhibitions, taking into account the growth of their business and other achievements.
Meanwhile, Xiamen will promote the construction of public overseas warehouses, providing subsidies based on specific circumstances.
The city will also provide guidance for more to qualify for foreign aid projects and to compete for bids in foreign aid projects involving materials and equipment.
The action plan proposes the establishment of the Going Global Service Alliance in Xiamen. It will develop a public service platform for overseas investment to support businesses in expanding their operations, mitigating risks, and strengthening security safeguards.
Moreover, the city will expedite the establishment of overseas investment and trade liaison offices in key countries and regions where Xiamen's foreign economic activities are vibrant, including in Europe and Southeast Asia.
In addition, Xiamen aims to foster the "Hailian Reception Hall" brand, hosting investment and trade promotion activities and overseas investment-themed events.
