Representatives from the Xiamen Road and Bridge Construction Group announced last week that Phoenix Stadium, part of Xiamen's new sports center in Xiangan, will officially open this month.

The six-story stadium covers a construction area of 153,000 square meters.

It is the first stadium in Fujian to be capable of hosting both basketball and ice-sports events. The three-day CBA All-Star Weekend will hit the new stadium's hardwood on March 24.
