Local Commerce officials last week announced that more than 100 Xiamen-based firms participated in 16 international exhibitions in January and February.

Companies participating in overseas exhibitions collectively garnered 560 million yuan in orders of intent.

The exhibitions covered a range of industries such as shoes and apparel, cases and bags, building materials and maternal and infant supplies.

Xiamen-based firms attended events in places such as Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.
