Local officials recently released a progress update through October on multiple public works projects currently underway in Xiamen.

The report covered 125 provincial projects with a planned investment of 61.4 billion yuan. Actual completed investment came in just under 77 billion yuan, representing 125 percent of the municipal goal through October.

For Xiamen, planned investment for 470 key municipal and provincial projects was 121.7 billion yuan, while actual investment topped 199.6 billion yuan, 163.9 percent of the schedule investment. The national total already exceeds annual projections by more than 30 percent.
