The city of Xiamen received an excellence award for its government procurement business environment at the recently-held Chinese Government Procurement Summit.

Xiamen ranked first for its business environment in the sector for the past two years.

Xiamen last year released a series of policies to improve the local business environment. It has ranked in China's top three in terms of procurement transparency for the past two years.

Fujian's Development and Reform Commission last year declared Xiamen to be the provincial benchmark for governmental procurement indicators. The city is used as a benchmark for nine cities and areas in Fujian.
