Local officials announced recently a total of 3.7 billion yuan in tax refunds for 25,600 enterprises since the implementation of its refund policy in April.

The refunds are in addition to more than 1.3 billion yuan in tax refunds during the first quarter of the year.

Officials described the refund program as part of the effort to mitigate economic headwinds and to stabilize economy growth.
