City representatives recently announced that an additional 29 area schools will open their sports facilities to the public this year.

A total of 117 local schools now participate in a program to allow free public access to sports facilities during non-school hours.

More than 400,000 individuals have signed up for the program, collectively notching 2.3 million visits to various sports facilities.

New registrations doubled over the past years and guest visits have tripled.
