A chamber concert last Thursday at the Xiamen International Conference Center Concert Hall kicked off this year’s Xiamen Music Season. The monthlong musical event includes more than 60 activities, ranging from large-scale concerts to boutique shows to master classes and review sessions.

Running through August 10, activities connected to the Music Season include a trio of competitions for piano, guitar and jazz drum. Each week of the event is dedicated to a different instrument, including piano, strings, percussion and guitar.

The summer musical event includes performances by more than 100 domestic and international music artists. Various events will be hosted both in person and online.

The district of Siming is sponsoring this year’s Music Season, which is organized by the Siming District Culture and Tourism Bureau, the Siming District Education Bureau and the OCT Top-Sight Culture Group.
