A seminar about the development of public art was held at Aotou, Xiamen in East China's Fujian Province on Sunday. Guest speakers from the art, design and tourism fields gathered at the seminar to discuss the topic of public art and cultural development.

Liu Yun from the Time Space gallery said that the rapid development of sculpture in Xiamen presents an opportunity for Aotou. In the eyes of artist Qiao Qian, public art does not only have social impact, but can also have cultural and economic benefits.

In addtion to the seminar, the town is also hosting the Vision Public Art exhibition.

The ongoing exhibition, which runs until August 31, features various sculptures that have decorated the streets of Aotou.
