Silk Road Maritime handles over 1 million TEUs of containers in Xiamen
On June 7, the container ship SEASPAN LUMACO called at Haitian Terminal in Dongdu port area of Xiamen, which is the 1000th ship of Silk Road Maritime named routes in Xiamen Port this year.
Since the year, the container throughput of Silk Road Maritime in Xiamen has exceeded 1 million TEUs, up about 25% year on year and about 7 to 8 percentage points higher than the national average growth rate of container port throughput.
By now, Silk Road Maritime has 72 named routes in 5 ports nationwide (Xiamen Port, Fuzhou Port, Tianjin Port, Qingdao Port and Beibu Gulf Port), connecting 96 ports in China and Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and other countries and regions, according to the data. 55 out of the 72 routes are available in Xiamen port, which is developing fruitfully.
